I Speak Of Christmas

"I Speak Of Christmas"

The gentle winds of autumn's still
Have turned to frozen winter chill
They've broken down the summer heat
And brought the cold unto our feet

We've seen the seasons pass us by
Year by year before our eyes
We've spent the moments oh so dear
Both full of sadness, full of cheer

But wintertime is more than this
It's full of love and full of bliss
A time like nothing else on earth
When we celebrate the virgin birth

I speak of course of Christmas time
The time of year our hearts align
When we give thanks to God above
For giving us the gift of love

Love sent to us so we won't fall
A baby boy to save us all
God sent His one and only Son
To save us all from what we've done

So as the winter air draws near
And as we close another year
Remember not one single thing
Except the birth of Christ our King
