From Ink of Dark

The thunderous sound from deep within
The roar of mighty hands
Beyond my mind, beneath my skin
Inside me glorious plans

From inner most and outward boasts
Through each and every word
From pad and pen and fingertips
Were visions slightly blurred

Though never lost was He, but I
The one who needed found
By grace so awesome glorious
In mercy I had drowned

From ink of dark to ink of light
Then words began to die
Much like the man that held the pen
They'd been given a new life

The Christian ABC's

I am not really sure what the purpose of this post is.  Maybe just for fun, maybe to touch some one's heart, but who knows?  It is an idea that popped in my head and as I prayed for guidance with it, I feel that God has given me the green light to continue. There is really no structure to this poem, just what God spoke to me about on each letter.  So without further ado, I give you the Christian ABC's.

A is for the Adam man in whom we all began

B is for the broken link between both God and man

C is for the child who came born both a man and God

D is for his death that paid for all of us so flawed

E is for eternity that is offered through his blood

F is for the freedom that results from all his love

G is for the grace of God of which we don't deserve

H is for the Holy Spirit, whom helps us humbly serve

I is for instructions given by the Son

J is for the judgement that comes when all is done

K is for Kingdom of our wondrous, mighty Lord

L is for God's gracious love, the love that we adore

M is for the miracles we see most everyday

N is for the name of Christ we joyously proclaim

O is for the One true God to whom we owe our praise

P is for the prayers spoken each and every day

Q is for the quality of a life that's born of Christ

R is for rejoicing in the gift of eternal life

S is for salvation, the most perfect gift of all

T is for the truth revealed when we tune into God's call

U is for an understanding that God has laid a plan

V is for Christ's victory that means so much for man

W is for the wisdom God provides throughout the ages

X is for the xxxvi books that contain the truth filled pages

Y is for the yearning heart that needs its loving God

Z is for the zeal that's found in Christ so bold and broad

Filthy Lips

Why is it that I anger so
When from my lips this filth once flowed
Why do I sit and burn with scorn
When both my ears have been so worn

So should I speak or should I not
Could I plead though all for naught
Would I dare let leave my lungs
The breath that lifts my foolish tongue

No, I can't. I mustn't. I won't this time
I've seen this plenty pantomimed
Remain in silence just once more
I must.  I can.  I will, I'm sure.

For God has warned of things like this
Things that seem they are amiss
And what I must and mustn't do
When things around me are askew

So take this burden firm, shall I
And at my master's feet I'll lie
The load that bears upon my heart
And from my soul this all will part
